  12. I hope I am putting this in the correct newsgroup but I am at my wits end!

  14. I recently purchased an Mtec 68020 Turbo A500 for my Amiga 500.  I purchased
  15. it with No ram(seeing as how I already have 8Megs on my HD controller)and 
  16. No Fpu.  I received the Accelerator with a instruction booklet that was in
  17. German!  I went ahead and inserted the Mtec into my A500 and placed the 
  18. original 68000 chip on the board.  Anyway, I first noticed problems when I
  19. tried to use WBPattern and load in an IFF file..The computer tries to 
  20. load the Iff image and then crashes..Then I tried to load AWEB, same 
  21. thing, it will not load any of the iff files.

  23. Multiview WILL load GIfs and others ok, but not IFF.  Just out of 
  24. curiousity, I opened up my computer again and switched back to 68000 mode 
  25. and proceded to load AWEB.  AWEB loaded up fine and so did Multiview--No 
  26. Crashes at all.  Now, this is where I am stuck..why would the Accelerator
  27. cause the machine to crash on Iff loads??

  29. Here is my system information if it would help:

  31. A500 With ECS, 1 Meg Chip Ram, 8 Megs Fast Ram.
  32. The 500 has 2.0 Roms, but it is Rekicked into 3.1 Mode
  33. Mtec 68020 A500 Accelerator with 0Ram, No FPU.

  35. Here is what SetCpu says about the setup:

  38. Now, Like I said..I did not get order the FPU chip yet..
